What Choo is

Choo is a companion for eating at a more comfortable pace. Mochi eats with you and paces your bites; you can check in on how you feel, and grow a little garden along the way. Choo is about pace, not restriction: it never counts what you eat or measures your body.

Not medical advice

Choo offers general guidance, not medical advice, and it isn't a medical device. It doesn't diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. The ~20-minute fullness figure, the program's pacing and its targets are general guidance. If your doctor, dietitian or surgeon gave you different instructions, follow theirs. Talk to them before changing how you eat, especially if you take a GLP-1 medication or have had bariatric surgery.

If you're in recovery from an eating disorder, check with your care team before using pacing tools. In the US you can reach the National Eating Disorders Association; elsewhere, findahelpline.com lists free, confidential support. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

Who can use Choo

You need to be at least 13. If you're under 18, use Choo with a parent's or guardian's OK. You're responsible for your device and for keeping Choo on it secure.

Choo Plus

Choo is free to use, and every meal with Mochi stays free. Choo Plus is an optional subscription, sold through the App Store at $29.99 a year or $4.99 a month in the US (prices vary by country and are shown before you buy).

• New subscribers who are eligible get a 7-day free trial. If you don't cancel at least 24 hours before it ends, your subscription starts and you're charged.
• Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price and length unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Manage or cancel in your iPhone's Settings › your name › Subscriptions. Deleting the app or your Choo account doesn't cancel a subscription.
• Apple handles payments and refunds under its own terms.

Your use of the app is also covered by Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If it conflicts with these terms, these terms apply where the law allows.

Your account and content

What you enter in Choo, like meal notes, stays yours. You give us permission to store and process it only to run Choo for you, as our Privacy Policy describes. You can delete your account and data anytime in the app.

Fair use

Please don't misuse Choo: don't break or overload it, get around its security or purchases, copy or resell it, or use it to break the law.

Our content

Choo's name, Mochi, the art, sounds and code belong to us or our licensors. You may share the cards and screenshots Choo makes for you, but not use our art or name to suggest we endorse something.

Changes and availability

We keep improving Choo, so features may change. We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version, and we'll tell you in the app about important changes. We may suspend accounts that break these terms.

Disclaimers and limits

Choo is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim is limited to what you paid for Choo Plus in the 12 months before the claim, or $50 if more. Nothing here limits rights that the law doesn't let us limit.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, apart from its conflict-of-laws rules. If you have a concern, please email us first at contact@getchoo.app; most things can be sorted out quickly.
